Mulberry A.M.E.

For more than 60 years Essie Strother Patterson called Mulberry A.M.E. her spiritual home. During her years as a member she took on many leadership positions including with the Lay Organization and as a Sunday school leader. Mulberry holds a special place in the African Methodist Episcopal district and as a cornerstone of the faith community in the area. The placement of this marker and the work to preserve this location is an important element of the ESP Legacy.
